Christmas gift sacks

Christmas sack Tutorial

Todays post will give you the basics of making your own gift sacks – these can be for Christmas or birthdays with the appropriate fabric.

Either way, it can help you save time in just putting all the presents inside without any need for wrapping paper, bows or sellotape. They can be used again and again for years with some care saving on waste and plastic.

For this tutorial, I’ve used the canvas sack panels from 42 Custom fabric . They are a metre by 150cm wide. You can either use those or use any suitable fabric for your won bags. They don’t have to be the same dimensions, you can make them bigger or smaller depending what you need.

I do recommend you use a woven fabric for these sacks and the lining (optional) as it will be more robust and hardwearing.

If you were wondering just how big those panel sack could be – big enough that two little boys could use them for a sack race!

I hope you enjoy this free tutorial and please share your sacks/gift bags in the group.

Merry Rex-mas to all
