Seren ddisglair dress and skirt child pdf sewing pattern
This is a digital download pdf pattern for a children’s dress and skirt pattern. Age range 12mths – 14yrs.
It features a star panel skirt option, plain panel skirt option as well as a plain skirt option with seams or no seams. Two skirt lengths – over or under knee.
All skirts can be worn alone or attached to the bodice. The bodice has long and short sleeves options which have cuffed or hem finishes.
It contains a full photo tutorial, a lookbook for inspiration and 2 pdf printing file options with layer features – AO and A4/US letter sizes.
Projector users can use the AO file as it has added measurement squares to aid calibration.
The plain skirt and plain panel options are beginner friendly. The star panel option requires precise sewing and being able to keep to the given seam allowances and is suitable for sewists with experience and confidence.
It comes with a cottage licence.
Fit information
The bodice has been designed to slightly relaxed and have slightly more than wearable ease – being 3-4cm around the chest and waist for those at the top end of the measurement charts. (depending on fabric base choices)
Ages 12mths- 7mths have a straight sided bodice. Ages 8-14yrs have a tapered bodice to reflect the changing figure and differences between waist and chest.
Materials Information
Please note Seam allowance is included but is variable.
You will need either a sewing machine with a stretch stitch or an overlocker/serger. You will need to tack for the Star option which will require a sewing machine or hand stitching.
Top stitching – a walking foot is recommended if using a sewing machine for top stitching and hemming.
Bodice and star skirt option
Suitable for 4 way stretch fabrics with at least 50%+ each way. Medium weight Cotton Lycra (CL) or French Terry (FT) in cotton or bamboo/modal are recommended for the bodice and star points for ease in sewing. Slippery, lightweight fabrics are not recommended for the star points.
Bodice and plain panel skirt option/plain skirt
Suitable for 4 way stretch fabrics with at least 50%+ each way. These can be made from any stretch fabric as long as it has at least 50% each way.

The waistbands must be made from a 50%+, 4 way stretch Cotton Lycra
