Materials Information
You will need either a sewing machine with a stretch stitch or an overlocker/serger. Top stitching is recommended so a sewing machine will be needed for that.
Threads suitable for the stretch fabric of choice.
Seam allowance is 1 cm *(3/8”) throughout.
Clips or pins.
This pattern is best suited for 4 way stretch (knits, jersey) fabrics with a 50%+ stretch in one direction. Fabrics should be lightweight and have drape for the best effect e.g. summer/lightweight cotton lycra, double brushed poly, single brushed poly, rayon, viscose, bamboo, modal and fabrics which behave similar to these.
Cotton lycra and heavier fabrics can be used but they will give a more structured look to the garment and will have less ease. They will also not drop or hang the same and may appear shorter than the lightweight fabrics.
